Super visa (special visa for parents, grandparents)
Parents, grandparents of Canadian citizens, or permanent residents of Canada who plan to travel to Canada to visit their children or grandchildren can apply for a Super Visa. The maximum validity date of this visa is several times ten years or one month before the expiration of the applicant’s passport (whichever is earlier). Super visa holders can stay in Canada for a maximum of 2 years each time they enter. If these people have a tourist visa, they can usually stay in Canada for a maximum of 6 months.
