Express Entry

Express Entry:

The Express Entry System is Canada’s most popular immigration system offering permanent residency, introduced in January 2015 by the federal government to replace the old method process.

Express Entry is an online immigration application system that allows people to submit their details and be considered a skilled immigrant.

In this system, people are scored based on different criteria such as: age, marital status, education, work experience, knowledge of English and French, etc., and in different periods, the Canadian Immigration Office invites the highest ranked candidates. To apply for permanent residency in Canada to complete the paperwork and legal process.

The system manages three (cost-effective) economic migration programs:

Federal Skilled Worker Program –

Federal Skilled Trades Program –

Canadian Experience Class –

Comprehensive scoring system:

The Comprehensive Scoring System is Canada’s internal system for scoring applicants based on factors such as age, education, work experience and knowledge of English and French.

This system allows the Canadian Immigration Service (IRCC) to select applicants and issue invitations. The system grants applicants up to 600 points for human capital and adaptability skills, and up to 600 points for other factors such as Canadian educational background, valid job offer, and provincial selection.

Applicants who are eligible for a Canadian Skilled Worker Immigration Program must create an Express Entry profile and enter the pool. The federal government and provincial governments and Canadian employers are able to select applicants from this pool. Selected applicants will receive an ITA Invitation and can apply to immigrate to Canada as part of one of these programs.

From the moment of receiving the “ITA” invitation, applicants have 60 days to submit their electronic file and all their documents. Due to this limited time, applicants are advised to collect their documents before receiving the invitation. If this 60-day period of the applicant expires, the applicant’s invitation will be revoked and he / she will have to re-enter the Express Entry Pool. If it is determined that the information provided by the applicant was false or inaccurate, this means that the information provided is incorrect and will be punished depending on the extent and severity of this false claim. An applicant who provided false information to enter the Express Entry Pool may be suspended from entering the Express Entry Pool for 5 years.

English and French:

All applicants must take a language test to determine their language level. Each language skill has a specific score in each economic immigration program under the supervision of the Express Entry System, and these skills are determined according to exams approved by the Canadian Immigration Service. The most popular of these exams are IELTS, CELPIP for English and TEF, TCF for French. As part of the Express Entry profile, applicants must provide a valid language certificate they have received in the past 2 years. After entering the pool, applicants can retake the language and improve their scores in the pool by receiving better scores. From 06/06/2017, applicants who present a French degree along with an English degree will be awarded additional points. If you have studied English or French in a country other than Canada, you will need to retake your language score.

waiting time:

Each profile stays in the Express Entry Pool for 12 months or until the invitation is issued. After 12 months, the applicant must re-enter the Express Entry Pool.

Family:

A successful applicant is able to bring both their dependents and their dependent children to Canada. For married applicants, only one of the parties will receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence. Both applicants must provide no criminal record. Applicants, spouses and dependent children under the age of 22 must undergo a medical examination. Please note that the background of Iran and any country in which you have resided must also be submitted by applicants.

LMIA:

Applicants will be able to submit their resumes online to Canadian employers and increase their chances of receiving a valid job offer. Applicants who receive a valid job offer and receive an LMIA Labor Market Impact Assessment will receive 50 or 200 points, depending on the level of job offered in the comprehensive CRS scoring system. In most cases, the job offer must be approved and have an LMIA labor market impact assessment.
